Re: Tascam Us-2400
To bad a great standard in ctrl surfaces never have been made.
The Mackie protocol has some great features, but i find it very limmited in many ways. E.g. that it´s protocol would make it hard to change it so that the faders could be used for aux sends, as manyu digi mixers, it´s really a great feature when setting up a headphone mix in a hurry.
I have programmed a little for the behringer bcf2000, and done some midi conversions so that i can use the buttons more effectively in saw. So i know the Mackie protocols limits. And how much data being send every time you change a channel or so.
Btw bob, would it by any chance be possible for me to have some info on your MidiControlTemplate file format, not neccesary every thing, just enough so that i can find the places in the mcakie template and the buttons. That way i could make a template for the Behringer, so that i could avoid the midi conversion. And remove the channeldisplays info, so that it becomes a little faster.
I fully respect if it´s not public information, and every thing i make will ofcause be uploaded for free use, amongst other SAWérs.
Good Sawing
