Help with interference on line ins

Running Pent IV 1.6 XP MBOX PTLE5.3.3
Running perfectlly for 2 years recording Voice Overs for various. With no changes I now have scratchy interference on recordings. Checked leads, mics and buffer sizes no change. Did have video shoot in same area with lighting kit, could this have created the problem and how can I fix it? Please help?

Could be interference from something used in the video lighting bothering a power supply in your mic pre, mixer, AD, or computer, IF the offender is still plugged in. Could also be a bad or dirty connector on a cable somewhere. Disconnect and re-connect each of the audio connectors from mic to computer, several times. Perhaps one is a bit oxidized. HTH.
