    Cool News from Celemony....

OK, I got this today from them.

    Dear Scott,
If you take a look at our website you can see that we just released
the Melodyne PlugIn and we're in the middle of getting this out. At
this point I can't tell when the first big batch of requests and
eventually any necessary hot fixes are done so that we have time
again to look into something else.

    Best wishes,
    Joerg Huettner

So I am going to download and try it now. Just wanted to let you know....

Thanks for the link! Hadn't received the news yet. Downloading now. I'll post as well as soon as I get a chance to try the new plugin version of Melodyne. Nice that this is given free to Melodyne 3 registered users.

    Thanks again,

    Perry

    Question Re: News from Celemony....

    Spiritman, Perry, and/or Joe -

Can you please tell me whether the plug-in handles polyphonic material (e.g., full mixes), as Melodyne Studio (the full-blown version) does?

It'd be interesting to know...thanx in advance!

    Best regards, Guyz....

I don't think it does. I watched the videos they have on the plugin and it looks like it opens up for editing one track... although you can have multiaple open at once.

Ok...but what if that one track is a full mix (which is, of course, polyphonic)? Can the plug-in process the track properly, or is the full Studio version required to do this?

Mike I just watched the videos. Goto the link that spirtman gave and then watch the videos. I watched them and it looks like it is a plugin just like any other plugin that works on the track you plug it in to.

I used the plugin today on a session. It works pretty well, IMO.
You still need to cancel the on top window behavior to see the menus, and SS right click & spacebar start/stop doesn't work while the cursor is over the Melodyne window, but other than that, it seems to work fine.

    Any specific questions?
