Personally I'd like to see SAWStudio (because nothing beats it), VST's and other plugins/supporting-apps ported to Linux, not Freeware though, just so it would be able to use all of the exsisting x86 HW (CPU, MB, RAM, audio, video cards, etc...) without obsoleting anything and not be isolated to Win32 API.

Think of what needs to happen to all of the hardware that cannot be recycled or disposed of properly because of an OS upgrade.

I won't be upgrading to Vista anytime soon, if at all.

This is a good time for any other solid desktop/workstation environment to get more of a market-share if done correctly.

M$ appears to be getting into more than just the OS business, and its scary where it can lead.
