    Default Region Rename

I have lots of regions to rename. Having to open the 'regions' menu, and locate and select the 'rename region' option with the mouse is a bit cumbersome and diverts attention from the task at hand.

So, if I'm highlighting a region in the Regions window, is there a keystroke combination that launches the region rename dialogue box?

Apologies in advance if there's something in the help or manual, as I must have missed it.

    Thanks

You could press alt, then R, then R to get the rename dialog...

Where the heck did that come from? Are there other hidden keystrokes in SAW?

I had thought all the alt <key> commands were trapped for SAW functions, and had not appreciated that they still work in the 'conventional' way if they are typed sequentially and not concurrently. Guess it's RT*M again!

Amazing how you can use SS day in day out and still not find these neat features!

Thanks Bob - it's going to save me a lot of time!

I know... I tried it. Not sure why it works, since the 'R' isn't specified as a shortcut, but, hey...

It would be convenient (readily noticeable) if the "menu/regions/re-name regions" menu item had the appropriate quickKEY listed there as "{R}"

No biggie... but nice (and consistent with other menu items)

Windows menus handle options with no assigned quick key by jumping to the first entry that contains text that starts with the letter key pressed... then to the next entry of the same starting letter if there are duplicates... so you can use this concept on most all menu options within the program once you figure them out.
