    Mine was an 8080 based computer. And the first pc as such was an 8088.

    I still remember my first 286. The only audio related stuff on that machine was midi related, using the super mpu/at, which is still lying around. My studio pal had a MQX-32, but (midi) sequencing was mostly done with an outboard sequencer, a Solton, that we bought together with a Solton Project-100 synth.

    Man, what a bunch of memories.

    And, what would we do without google. I did a search and not only found the old thing, there's a full description of it. It was the Solton MDR16
