Exclamation Sonoris Equalizer and Dither updated

The Sonoris Equalizer and Dither have been updated.

    Changes are:

-fixed: looped playback could cause a lockup

    Equalizer only:

-the plugin now recognizes if it is patched in SAC and disables HQ mode accordingly to allow latency free use.

registered users can download the update at the Sonoris Webshop:

    http://www.sonoris.nl/catalog/index.php

    best regards,

Thanks Pieter. Looks good in SAC. HQ disabled. Great!

Question: what's the difference between "Normal" install and "Compatible with SSE" or "SSE2". (Sorry I didn't ask sooner.)

    Happy holidays,

SSE and SSE2 are instruction sets embedded in certain CPUs. IIRC, if you just let the Sonoris installer do its thing, it will pick the correct thing to install. I guess it's just worth noting that if you install on one machine and then copy the resulting files to another, it may work in a different way and you may not be using the version of code optimised for that particular processor.

Yes, as Dominic says, just let the installer decide. Should it decide wrong then you can try another version.

    Ira,

If you're interested, download CPU-Z (it's very small) http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and it will tell you which instruction sets your CPU supports, on the first page (it's just a little app to show you loads of stuff about your CPU). Mine supports SSE and SSE2 - SSE2 is later and therefore better and more efficient, which is why my install of Sonoris EQ has chosen the SSE2 optimised version.

So for me, the installer highlights the SSE2 choice. Just go with it?

    thx,
    Ira
