    Thumbs up VST Audio Player

I came across this some months back but could not get it to work in SAC. It seems the current version (1.2) does work (listening to tunes with it thru SAC as I type). This frees up two input channels I've been using for background music. They are asking $10.00 for a non timeout full version. I'll be using this till Bob gets his player integrated.

When you get to the download page, the link is at the bottom below the three ads.

I'm testing it now for reliability and bugs.... So far so good.

Not bad for a basic player. I like that it supports such a variety of file formats. Does it actually support mp3? I didn't see it listed when loading a file. I did find that when I saved a test playlist, the extension was missing. I had to add it manually. Not a huge deal.

Might be worth the $10 just to support further development on it.

It supports mp3 as of the current release.
It's the only VST player I have been able to find. I'm not a DJ, I just need something to play music on breaks sometimes. This fits the bill perfectly.

The site says a new release for every $100.00 in revenue.
Repeat/shuffle playlist is the next planned update and aac support after that.

When I try to install this in the SAC/VST_PlugIns folder I don't get anything showing in SAC FX list and don't see it listed in the VST_PlugIns folder either (looking for "VST Player")
    Help??
    I'm using "vstPlayer-v1.2-Setup.exe" 1.4MB - from bitbucket.org

I used the same install program.
The install put the files in folder called "C:\Program Files (x86)\vstplayer"
I copied the vstplayer.dll from there to the "C:\SAC\VST_PlugIns" folder.
    That was it.

Yeah, Carl. You have to move the .dll to the vst folder. I don't know why an install was created in the first place.

It doesn't seem to support mp3. I tried to add a file and it does't show any of my mp3's to select in the explorer browser??

Just tried it and got the same result. It does support mp3's. If you add a single song, it dosen't show mp3's.
If you use the "+ path" button and select a folder with mp3's, they will show up and play in the playlist. It even searches the subfolders.

Not being able to add a mp3 one at a time looks to be a bug.....
