Is there a MWS Shade to go with it?

UPDATE: I just finished creating the Video Monitor dll, new textures, replaced the square with a dot on REC buttons, and fixed some fields where text overlays on some sections I was previously unaware of.

I will begin to expand into the accessory items as soon as I load the respective demos.

There is still a bug in the native EQ that doesn't allow the reset button to show up... (the bypass button flashes in its place instead)
I thought I'd created a workaround, but there is one more thing to tweak with the Bypass text.

As always, updates will follow for free to buyers.

    Thanks for your support.

You guys are spending so much time doing all these new looks for sawstudio, with new colors and images, How about you actually try to use Photo quality images of a real consoles or real console textures, real leds, real meters, real buttons.. that would look Real cool!! Im sure you could do it... and it would look more... REAL.... I find most of the shades to look so toy or play like.. Just a thought....

I've played around with that idea.
It's hard to find hi res images with every surface at a perpendicular angle so the lines and shapes are straight on. Also, you need to get shots where the buttons are engaged and meters are pegged so you can get the colors right. SSL has some decent images online, but real consoles are very sparse, so you end up fabricating a large part of the design anyway. As far as using hardware images, as a matter of fact, the fader knobs in this evol design are photos from an SSL Matrix, but proportioned to accommodate the bitmap size requirements of the software.

I've tried numerous brushed metal backgrounds and all kinds of things. Ultimately, when everything must adapt to the requirements of spaces that can't be altered, you are forced to balance being too busy, too abstract, or too plain.

That being said, knowing I can spend hundrerds of hours emulating all kinds of other software apps and hardware before knowing if anyone cares enough to make it worth my time, I decided to try making a design that can stand on its own while still accommodating the layout requirements unique to SAC and SAW.

Over all the response has been great, so I'm moving ahead with designs for all the optional add-ons.

Everyone has a different opinion. I combined what I found as a consensus from all the user comments as well as my own preferences.
This was were it led me.

I'd like to express a huge THANK YOU! to the SAW and SAC forum members. The response to my work has been nothing short of fantastic. Within the adversity that exists in every forum, your positive comments and kind words in emails has been overwhelming.

    Best regards,
    Terry
