    Default regenerate wpd files

I know this is in one of the more obscure menus. Where?

    View/File/Refresh Selected Entries PeakData Files.

Highlight the files you want to refresh, first.
Note that using Ctrl/A to highlight all at once also selects [End Of List] line
and will result in an error. so best to use Shift/Select first and last, if wanting to refresh All files.

Also, deleting them en masse in File Explorer will force regeneration as/when they're needed in SAW. And you can refresh the currently-open file in the SF view window by hitting the R key.

NOTES: ctrl+A doesn't work at all for me in the File View window. Windows' standard selection key combos do, though (click, ctrl+click, shift+click, ctrl+shift+click). Also simply click-dragging across a contiguous few will select them.

    A few options. Thanks gents...

My recent-sessions to build-mix AutoHotkey script is working pretty nicely. I have a few steps that use sox offline, and I am still working the parameters out and was seeing unexpected wave-forms until I realized the image was old. When I post it, I think it should work on other saw setups. It does some mouse clicks on various client windows (as in certain cases there is no other way to interact with saw). It is possible the client dialog-boxes are different dimensions than my saw screen resolution - which is 1080p. So there may be some script tweaking to get it to click on the right spot. I also remember there was a sometimes issue with windows settings regarding window borders.

Anyway, it is pretty cool being able to click on a few edls in a list-box, and after having a beer, come back a bunch of mp3s waiting on a flash drive.

AutoHotkey can do some pretty interesting things - but I can't wait to be 'done' with this and move on to another project. Dealing with the endless oddities of windows guis that crop up is not a good match for my character. I've wanted to write a 'tape saturation' emulation, which will be a c program - where everything just makes more sense.

Wow - I never knew you can just click/drag across the file names to select a group!! Cool.

Sorry for my mistake on this one - Ctrl/A does NOT select anything in the File View, as Dave points out.

But, still... don't inadvertently grab the [End Of List] line, or you get an error.
I only did this one time - years ago - so recalled in error.

As I looked at this again, I realized the 'R' key is really what I wanted. After a build-mix to new file, Soundfile-View pops up on top of the Multitrack (now I should ask if this behavior can be turned off) - which has been an annoyance to my project, because it would stay visible on the subsequent steps, it always takes a bit of research to find the commands to even do simple things like hiding a window. At last, I can use it to my advantage with a strategically placed 'R'!

I can relate to the annoyance, yet find it useful at times.

One surefire way to avoid SoundFile View from popping up over other views is to create an F-key that contains the SoundFile view.
Go to that F-key just before doing a build mix and the rendered file will just show up there.

I created an F-key that has a large SoundFile window, along with just a few MT channels, quite awhile back for quick transfer of regions to and from those two windows (using the T key). When I think of it and want to avoid the annoyance, I will switch to it when rendering. I also find it useful when checking the various settings in the Levelizer plugin on the master bus, when comparing build mixes.

One of the challenges has been what window appears for different circumstances. I can see how having a dedicated F-key file could help mitigate some of those issues - and a means of giving a visual indication of what is occurring, as for the most part, it is just sitting at the multi-track. I hope I don't encounter any more high hurdles, but if so, that may wind up as part of it.
